Kelowna mayor Tom Dyas – Denciti steal

A steal in the tens of millions is underway in Kelowna. City staff is telling reporters that its a done deal and “is expected to be finalized on March 30.” This declaration despite the rezoning requiring a council vote. The Kelowna Springs/Denciti steal is the brainchild of Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas. In 2022 Dyas made an election promise to save the Kelowna Springs golf course, a hugely controversial pet project of the grossly corrupt Sikh shill Colin Basran. Capitalists seek a zoning category change to I-2 ‘General Industrial’.

“Residents have told me that they expect their next mayor to fight to save Kelowna Springs, and that’s what I will do,” That promise got Dyas elected. Once elected, things changed.

This citizen had a front seat to the corruption of Tom Dyas and sickening Punjabi councillor Mohini Singh with cops watching their meeting with Gurtaj Singh Sandher on board the brand new $1m+ Sandher Regal 42 yacht moored at the Kelowna Yacht Club in August 2024.

Result of that meeting was the 8 year recidivist polluting Sandher family dumping their packing plant waste into the city sewer for free.

The development of Denciti’s Kelowna Springs golf course is into infinitely more profitable industrial land. Rumour says that the Khalistani, Sandhers, and Garry Fawley are in bed together. Dencity bought land adjacent to the ‘proposed’ development. Land was also purchased by Sukhdev Singh Sandher and Gurjit Singh Jhajj.

Gurtaj Singh Sandher’s attempts to acquire more land near Kelowna Springs was so determined he was nearly charged for making death threats.

Dyas appeared on local press November 22 2025 to explain the benefits of his ‘done deal’ Denciti steal for citizens. There are none.

The city takes control of part of the 60 acre golf course property (which is unsuitable for development because of aquifers) at 480 Penno Road while transferring 9.1 acres of city-owned industrial land at 3199 Hollywood Road North to Denciti.

The newly created lot was carved out of a municipal property that will become the Central Okanagan’s new bus barns. The land was removed from the ALR for that purpose. No planning for the bus barns has been started. It’s a prime commercial location, close to Highway 97 and the University of B.C. ChatGPT tells us that on the low end, 10 acres of commercial land in Kelowna will be worth $20M. Assuming the high end is closer to $30M, the City of Kelowna is returning the entire purchase price of the Kelowna Springs purchase to Denciti.

Denciti retains it’s 46 acres of land adjacent to the golf course which remains subject to an application for industrial land use. The sweetheart Denciti deal clears the way for industrial development on the 9.1 acres it would acquire from the city as well. Why would the City give away lands that it might need for its bus depot expansion? Why did the City buy that land if it was going to then give it away before even determining if it was needed?

Kelowna citizens could ask bum-like city manager Doug Gilchrist. (dgilchrist@kelowna.ca)

His salary increased from $264K in 2019 to $384K in 2024. Gilchrist’s pay package is just $5k less than the city manager’s salary in Vancouver, a city more than four times the size of Kelowna.

Conservative estimates suggest there is already in excess of a 50 year supply of industrial land in the Okanagan. There is no demand for more. It’s said the Sinaloa Cartel has tens of millions sunk into the project through its Khalistani operatives and that all involved are corrupt, including mayor Tom Dyas.
