Peković played six seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2011 to 2017. Nicknamed “The Godfather” because of his size, tough playing style, and intimidating presence, he retired in 2017.
Reports tie Peković to Darko and Duško Šarić. The brothers lead a notorious organized crime group accused of smuggling large amounts of South American cocaine into Europe. Peković is a close personal friend of Duško Šarić and is the godfather to his child. He also paid off a €1.15 million bank debt for Duško.
