Carmine G. Agnello Jr, grandson of infamous mob boss John Gotti, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for fraud in a COVID-19 scheme, significantly less than prosecutors sought.
Agnello, 40, will also have two years of supervised release and will have to pay $1,268,302 in restitution. Between 2020 and 2021, Agnello fraudulently applied for and got at least three Economic Injury Disaster loans, which he submitted on behalf of a Queens-based business he operated, Crown Auto Parts & Recycling, LLC. He used the funds for his own benefit and also invested over $400k in a cryptocurrency business.

Carmine G. Agnello Jr had sought to avoid jail time by donating a kidney to his mother. He is Victoria Gotti’s son.
