Last Tuesday in Alberta’s Legislative Assembly, Rick Wilson (mha.minister@gov.ab.ca, SCSS.minister@gov.ab.ca) stood up and shared ‘a personal horror story’ about what’s going on in his supervised consumption sites. It was all bullshit and Wilson knew it. “I’m still having nightmares about this, Mr. Speaker,” he said. “We are not helping people. We are not helping people.”
“People that are in there, I’ve actually seen people collapse and die right in front of me, Mr. Speaker. These places are not helping people.”
TOTAL wicked asshole Rick Wilson fails to say that nobody has ever died in an Alberta supervised consumption service site, nor have any deaths EVER been recorded at any supervised consumption site across Canada.
Wilson is now admitting he was wrong, sort of. “To clarify the minister’s comments, drug consumption sites keep people trapped in addiction. When people are injecting and then collapsing, it appears as though they are dying,” his office lied.
There is nothing in the ‘grey area’. Rick Wilson is responsible for a $1b portfolio and very stupidly lied about something that didn’t happen. He is an idiot in the wrong position and should be fired for his stunning and insulting incompetence. Rick Wilson assumed the role in May 2025.
