Pacific Link College – fake student mill – Tarun Khullar

In a Notice of Cancellation by B.C.’s private-college regulator, Pacific Link College was stripped of its designation certificate in October and ordered to stop delivering programs. Founded in 2011, the ‘College’ was a notorious, well known strip mall scam.

Among the many problems reported, over years were;
* False and deceptive claims on the college’s website
* Work placements that didn’t match program objectives
* Students admitted without meeting requirements
* Unapproved programs
* Instructors with no qualifications
* Programs not delivered as approved
* Attendance policy allowing up to 90 consecutive days absence
* Evidence of non-attendance and widespread academic failure

Tarun Singh Khullar immigrated from Punjab and is the conman behind Pacific Link College. “I came to Canada as an international student. After completing my degree in Computer Science and International Business, my path took a turn and led me into a life that was dedicated to helping other international students succeed in Canada.” That path was ripping off newcomers to Canada.

The B.C. regulator finally acted after sustained follow-ups on multiple complaints, over years. The bogus PLC diplomas have no value in the labour market and left students with debt and no prospects. The programs never really existed, except on paper. Ontario banned certain bad actor ‘colleges’ from accepting new international students, and B.C. needs to do the same.
