ICE taps Canada for 20 armoured vehicles

ICE has earmarked millions for 20 armoured vehicles from Canadian defence manufacturer Roshel. The order is about C$10 million for 20 Senator vehicles with the contract awarded on November 28. ICE says Roshel, headquartered in Brampton, meets the department’s requirements and can complete the order within 30 days. ICE is awash in controversy and allegations of human rights abuses.

The order comes as the increasingly senile Trump punishes Canada with a trade war that is costing hundreds of thousands of jobs, in particular steel, manufacturing and the automotive sectors.

Owner of the company is Roman Shimonov. He moved to Canada in 2012 from Israel. His family immigrated there from the Soviet Union when Shimonov was 12 years old.
