\nDale McFee, former chief of the Edmonton Police Service, became Alberta\u2019s top civil servant<\/a>, deputy minister of executive council and head of the Alberta Public Service, on February 24, 2025. A large number of paid mouthpieces refused to confirm McFee attended an Oilers playoff game against the Florida Panthers in June 2024 as a guest of Sam Mraiche. In fact, McFee enjoyed multiple seats at hockey games courtesy of Sam Mraiche. Police Chief McFee was in a conflict of interest, and he knew it.

Several UCP cabinet ministers and government officials attended NHL playoff games as Mraiche\u2019s guests. NHL playoff tickets are not cheap, especially when you are in the VIP section. Bill for a Scotiabank suite from the final series with Florida cost $44k. The suite has 12 seats with two parking passes. 12 standing-room tickets could be purchased for $18k. If all 24 seats were spoken for, that works out to $2,583 a ticket.
